Mountain Region
Ledford's Chapel
From intersection of US64 & Meyers Chapel Rd. at Hayesville take US 64 East. Travel 3.1 miles turn right onto SR1151(Ledford Chapel Rd). Travel 0.9 miles to area at the end of the road.
Whittenburg

From I-40 take exit123 and travel North on NC321 for 0.7 miles. Take NC127/70E exit for 1.0 miles. Turn left on NC127N for 7.0 miles. Turn left on Shiloh Church Road for 0.4 miles. Turn left on Wildlife Access Area Road for 0.2 miles and area is on left.

Gunpowder

From I-40 take exit 123 and travel US321N for 4.4 miles. Turn right on (SR1758) Grace Chapel Church Road. Travel 2.8 miles and turn left on Hurricane Hill Road. Travel 1.0 miles and turn left into access area.

Lovelady

From I-40 take exit123 and travel on US321N for 4.4 miles. Turn right on Grace Chapel Church Road (SR1758) for 2.8 miles. Turn right on Rocky Mount Road for 0.8 miles and turn right into access area.

McCrary Creek

On I-77 take exit 36 onto NC 150 west for 3.9 miles. Before crossing Lake Norman, the access area entrance is on the left.

Pinnacle

From I-77 take exit 36 onto NC 150 west for 4.4 miles. Before crossing Lake Norman the access area entrance is on the right.

Beatties Ford

On I-77 take Exit 28 onto NC 73 West, follow to NC 16. Turn right onto NC 16 North, continue for 2.3 miles to Old NC 73 (Unity Church Road), turn right. Follow for 2.4 miles, turn right onto SR 1438. The access area is at the end of the road.

South Point

From I-85 in Mount Holly, take exit NC 273 south for 6.1 miles to SR 2525 (Southpoint Road). Take SR 2525 for 2.2 miles to access area road.

Riverbend (Davidson Creek)

From I-85 near Charlotte, take Exit 36 onto NC16 North for 8.7 miles. Cross Mountain Island Lake; turn right onto Horseshoe Bend Beach Road/S.R. 1912. Follow 0.2 miles. Turn right onto access area road.

Neck Road

From I-85 near Charlotte, take exit 34 to NC 27 east (Mount Holly-Huntersville Road) in the direction of Huntersville for 4.0 miles. Turn left onto SR 2074 (Beatties Ford Road) and follow for 3.1 miles. Turn left onto Neck Road and follow for 0.8 mile. Access area is on the left.

Piedmont Region
Ledge Rock

From the intersection of I-85 and Exit 186A Butner/Creedmoor, turn right on US 15. Travel 1 mile, turn right on Will Suitt Rd./SR 1726, travel 3 miles to stop sign, continue straight on Boyce Road, go 1 mile to stop sign. Turn left on Olive Grove Church

Upper Barton's Creek

At the intersection of I-85 and Exit 178 US 70E, take US 70E 2 miles, turn right onto NC 98E, travel 12 miles to intersection of Six Forks Road/SR 1005, turn right and go 1 mile, area on the left.

Edwards Ferry

Take US258 north from Scotland Neck, area is at the south end of US258 Roanoke River Bridge.

Fifth Street Landing

From NC 48 (Roanoke Avenue) in Roanoke Rapids, travel west on 5th Street. Access area at the end of street.

Cross Point Landing (Dam Site)

Beginning from the junction of NC 42 and SR 1916 (Corinth Road) west of Corinth, travel east on NC 42 for 2.0 miles to SR 1912 (Christian Chapel Road). Turn left onto SR 1912 and travel 0.4 miles to Cross Point Road. Turn right onto Cross Point Road and travel 0.4 miles to the area. The area will be located at the end of the gravel road.

Dutch Second

From intersection of NC8 & Bringles Ferry Rd.(SR1002) at Healing Springs(Davidson Co.), travel 10 miles west on Bringles Ferry Rd.(SR1002), into Rowan Co. after crossing High Rock Lake, turn left onto the area.

Swift Island

From Troy (Montgomery County), travel NC 24/27 West 12 miles, area on left before Pee Dee River Bridge.

Bringles Ferry

From intersection of NC 8 and Bringles Ferry Road (SR1002) at Healing Springs (Davidson County), take Bringles Ferry Road (SR1002) West 3 miles, turn left onto access road after railroad crossing.

Avent's Ferry Bridge

Beginning from the junction of NC 42 and SR 1916 (Corinth Road) west of Corinth, travel west on NC 42 for 1.2 miles to the area. The area will be located on th right before you cross the bridge.

Coastal Region
Plymouth

From the junction of US64 and NC45 east of Plymouth, take NC45 north 3.1 miles to the Roanoke River Bridge. The area will be located on the left before the bridge.

Hall's Creek

Beginning from the junction of US17 and US158 in Elizabeth City, travel south on US 17 for 6.7 miles to Exit 254. Take Exit 254 to SR1140 (Okisko Road). Turn right onto SR1140 and travel 3.6 miles to the area. The area is located on the right just beyond the bridge across Hal'sl Creek.

Big Flatty

From the junction of US17 and US158 in Elizabeth City, take US17S for 1.1 miles and turn left onto SR1152 (Halstead Blvd.). Travel 2.1mi and take NC34 S for 7.5 miles to Esclip Road. Turn right onto Esclip Road and travel 2.3 miles and turn left onto SR1104 (Soundneck Road). Travel 1.7 miles and turn right onto SR1108 (Shadneck Road) for 1.6 miles. The access road to the area will be located on the right. (shallow draft vessels recommended)

Washington Baum Bridge

From the junction of US64/264 and NC345 east of Manteo, take US64/264 east 1.0 mile to the Washington Baum Bridge. Turn right onto the access road at the bridge. The area is located under the west end of the bridge.

Salters Creek

Beginning from the junction of US70 and NC12 near Sea Level, turn left onto Wildlife Ramp Road and travel 0.3 mile to the end. The area will be located at the end of the road.

Price's Landing

From the intersection of Hwy70 and Hwy117 follow Hwy117S from Goldsboro to Arrington Bridge Road (SR1915). Turn left onto SR1915 and follow until the Hwy581/Southern Connector split. Merge left onto Hwy581 and follow 5mi to the access site on the right.

Cox's Ferry

Beginning from the junction of NC 581 and US 70A in Goldsboro, travel NC 581 for 3.5 miles to SR 1007 (Old Smithfield Road). Travel on SR1007 for 2.6 miles to SR 1224 (Ferry Bridge Road). Turn left onto SR 1224 and travel 2.7 miles to the area. The area will be located on the left.

Steven's Mill

Beginning from the junction of NC 581 and US 70A in Goldsboro, travel NC 581 for 1.7 miles to SR 1008 (Stevens Mill Road). Travel SR 1008 for 3.0 miles to the area. The area will be located on the right.

Richardson's Bridge

Beginning from the junction of US 70 and US 70A west of Princeton, travel west on US 70 for 0.4 miles to SR 2314 (Pondfield Road). Turn left onto SR 2314 and travel 0.5 miles to SR 2530 (Progressive Church Road), Turn right onto SR 2530 and travel 4.6 miles to SR 1007 (Brogden Road). Turn left onto SR 1007 and travel 0.5 miles to SR 1201 (Richardsons Bridge Road). Turn right onto SR 1201 and travel 1.9 miles to the area. Access road to area will be located on the right.

Straits Landing

Beginning from the junction of US70 and SR1300(Merrimon Road) 5.0 miles east of Beaufort, travel east on US70 for 4.9 miles to SR1332(Harkers Island Road). Turn right onto SR1332 and travel 3.8 miles to area. The area will be located on the right before you cross the bridge.

Castle Hayne

Beginning from the junction of I-40 and Holly Shelter Road (Exit 414) near Castle Hayne, travel west on Holly Shelter Road for 0.8 mile to stoplight in Castle Hayne. Turn right onto US117 and travel north 0.5 mile to Orange Street. Turn right onto Orange Street and travel 0.2 mile. The area will be located on the left.

Snow's Cut

Beginning from the junction of US 421 and NC 132 in Wilmington, travel south on US 421 for 6.0 miles over the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge. Upon crossing the bridge, turn right onto Dow Road and then immediately right again onto Bridge Barrier Road. Travel Bridge Barrier Road 0.3 miles to Spencer Farlow Drive. Turn right onto Spencer Farlow Drive and travel 0.5 miles to Annie Drive. Turn left onto Annie Drive and travel 0.2 miles to the area. The area is located at the end of Annie Drive.

Sutton Lake

Beginning from the junction of I - 40 and US 421 west of Wilmington, travel south on US 421 for 0.6 miles to SR 2145 (Sutton Lake Road). Turn right onto SR 2145 and travel 0.5 miles to the end of the pavement. Continue on 1.1 miles on the gravel road to the end. The area will be located at the of the road.

Lake Rim

To locate area from the junction of U.S. 401 Bypass and U.S. 401. Take U.S. 401south (Raeford Road) for 6.5 miles. Bear right on old U.S. 401 (Raeford Road). Access area is 1 mile on right.

Fayetteville

Beginning from the junction of US301 and NC87 in Fayetteville, travel north on US301 for 0.2 mile to SR2237 (Old Wilmington Road). Turn right onto SR2237 and travel 2.9 miles to the area. The access road to the area will be located on the left.
